Implementation of the litigation fund for democracy, rule of law and fundamental rigths is needed

Sophie in 't Veld got support in the European Parliament last year for an "EU fund for financial support for litigating cases relating to violations of democracy, rule of law and fundamental rights".

Now is the time for the Commission to implement this fund.

Today, Sophie in 't Veld sent a letter to Commissioner Jourová to ask how the fund would be set up exactly and to stress that the original purpose of a litigation fund should be safeguarded.
